Hi, I’m Toby
In March of 2020, a young, scruffy black cat was found hanging out down at our pig barn. We named him Toby. He was in pretty rough shape and in need of some medical care.
Toby loved to nap and hang out with the pigs, but the dust in the pig barn was irritating Toby’s allergies and causing respiratory issues, so he was relocated to the Shelter trailer. He still loves to visit the pig barn from time to time to look for mice.
In the summer of 2022, Toby suffered several seizures of unknown origin. He spent several weeks being hospitalized at a neurology specialist’s office and was given a short life expectancy. Thankfully, he outlived that prognosis and has made huge strides. He went several years without having any more seizures, but after experiencing several in 2025, he was restarted on his medications. He has been seizure free since!
Toby has some long term coordination issues as a result of his seizures and is medicated daily for his allergies.
He can be found roaming the property anywhere from the old barn (where he loves to steal the Barn cats’ food), to the coops, and all the way down at the pig barn. He loves to attend the weekly public tours and is a big hit with visitors.
Your sponsorship will go towards expenses like daily care, regular medical checkups, and cover any unexpected emergency care. Please sponsor Toby to provide the care he deserves!
