Hi, I’m Sam

Sponsor Sam $25/Month

A golf course is no place for a goat, but this little guy found himself in an unnatural environment with an uncertain future. He was captured, and our friends at Farmaste Animal Sanctuary in Minnesota provided him with a safe landing spot. Because of the medical conditions of their herd, he could not stay, so they reached out to us to see if we had any ideas.

While we’ve been at capacity for goats for some time, we did lose our beloved Gunther and Steve, and knew it was time to open our hearts again to a new friend. We decided on the name Sam to honor one of our Farmaste friends, who graciously drove him to us. Little Sam is a shy guy, but is really starting to warm up to the humans. His MN vet suspects he’s half fainting goat, as his rear legs lock up a bit when he’s startled, but he’ll compensate with the cutest bounce walk until he regains full mobility! We’re estimating he’s around a year old, based on the size of his adorable horns. We don’t know where he came from, why he was on a golf course, or why humans are kind of scary, but we do know he received so much love at Farmaste (and a stuffed corgi toy), and will continue that trend here at Barn. He’s almost done with his quarantine, and we can’t wait to see him blossom into the goat he’s meant to be, with the help of patient humans and new goat friends to show him that sanctuary life is hitting the jackpot (or maybe a hole-in-one, but we’re guessing he wouldn’t appreciate the golf reference). Welcome, Sam!

Your sponsorship will help us provide daily care, regular medical checkups, and cover any unexpected emergency care. Please sponsor Sam to provide her the help he deserves!
