Hi, I’m Percy
In November of 2022, Barn Sanctuary received a social media message about an injured chicken. A caring person found him left in a ditch after he was attacked by another animal. She turned to Barn to give Percy a chance at survival and to find a forever home.
Once we retrieved Percy, we discovered he had other injuries. In addition to a neck wound from being attacked, we also learned Percy has deformed legs die to improper nutrition when he was young and cannot walk properly.
Percy is still healing and adjusting to his move to Barn. Once he’s settled and comfortable in a coop with other chickens, we’re hoping more of Percy’s personality comes out and he relaxes into his home.
