Hi, I’m Elsa

During a harsh Winter in February of 2019, two tiny piglets were loaded onto a transport truck bound for a finishing farm to be fattened up for slaughter. When the truck arrived at its destination, the two piglets were frozen to the side of the truck. They appeared immobile and were assumed to be dead.

The man unloading the truck took pity on these two piglets and brought them into his home to try and warm them up. Thankfully, they became responsive, so the man continued to nurse them back to health and called Barn Sanctuary to provided them with a forever home.

The two sisters, Elsa and Anna, grew up in a loving and safe enviroment at the sanctuary. Elsa is the sassiest of the sister duo. This self-proclaimed Queen is brave, curious, playful, and assertive. She enjoys helping volunteers, mischievously plopping into newly cleaned water troughs and running excitedly up to new people to say hello.
