Hi, I’m Dan JR (D.J.)

In February of 2018, Dan Jr. (D.J.) was surrendered to Barn Sanctuary at two weeks old from a dairy farm in New York. He was unable to nurse from his mother and was growing weak.

We bottle-fed him and kept him warm, and soon Dan Jr., or D.J. as we call him, was thriving and joining his new best bud Mike, out on the pasture. D.J. and Mike became fast friends and D.J. was Mike’s seeing eye buddy during their youth. They both now live with the big herd in the cow pasture.

D.J, is a quirky, curious and rambunctious guy. He loves to play and is super affectionate and sociable. He particularly loves a good neck scratch and will always trot over to any staff or volunteer to say hello.

Sponsorships help us provide daily care, regular medical checkups, and cover any unexpected emergency care costs for each animal. Please sponsor D.J. to help us provide the care he deserves!
