Hi, I’m Cal
Cal started his young life in a state of uncertainty. While his mother was carrying this sweet boy, she broke her hip and had to calve him at a hospital, where she was ultimately euthanized.
Besides the sadness of losing his mom right from birth, Cal had another struggle to face: He was slated to go to the auction, where he would be sold and then raised for slaughter. It was a grim fate until a caring person, who had noticed how affectionate Cal was, intervened on his behalf by contacting Barn Sanctuary.
His heart-shaped forehead marking reminds us so much of what our fearless girl Cora looked like, and we think Cal will beautifully carry on the legacy of her resilient spirit.
