Barn Sanctuary Announces Kids’ Book “This Farm is a Family”

Posted November 19, 2021 in Kids' Book

Dan McKernan, Barn Sanctuary Founder and President, has authored a heartwarming tale for kids that features some of the rescued residents who call Barn Sanctuary home. “I never knew kids would be so captivated with the Sanctuary and I’m beyond excited they can connect with them in a different way that highlights their individual personalities.”

“This Farm is a Family” is officially available for pre-order and comes out on April 5th, 2022!

This Farm is a Family

“This Farm Is a Family” follows a group of rescued farmed animals who are living their best lives at Barn Sanctuary. Each one is eager to meet the newest arrival, Buttercup the cow, and show her all the fun things they can do together. But Buttercup doesn’t want to play–in fact, she doesn’t want anything to do with the other animals. What will the other animals of Barn Sanctuary do to try to help?

“This Farm is a Family” is beautifully illustrated and teaches kids about compassion, kindness and working through fear and anxiety in new situations. “This Farm is a Family” is a perfect gift for compassionate, animal-loving kids.

About Barn Sanctuary

Barn Sanctuary was established in 2016 in pursuit of a lofty mission to change the way people view farmed animals by rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected farmed animals in need. Barn Sanctuary provides a loving home specifically for farmed animals because they are historically the most mistreated group of land animals in the world. Barn Sanctuary is home to over 100 rescued farmed animals including cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep, and goats. Every rescue at Barn Sanctuary is treated as an individual deserving of empathy and respect.
